    Only because William is a great service rep, did I rate the appointment 3 stars. I made the appointment for the door handle recall and arrive just to be told the parts are not in. Why wouldn't anyone call us as we do not live in Carlsbad. That was poorly handled. If the new parts didn't arrive on time, PLEASE CALL CUSTOMERS to allow them to reschedule!

    Lack of communication from everyone not just the advisor! I reached out several times and was told that my advisor would call back but I didn’t ever receive a callback. I only got two calls within a span of 19 days. Once was a follow up to my call. Once I got a text saying my vehicle was finished, I went to pick up but it was NOT done and that I had to wait another 24 hours before picking it up but it was a Saturday so I had to wait until Monday. I had asked for a loaner several times in person and over the phone and text and was told that I would be ‘first on the list’ (a saying that the advisors quite often said to me) but didn’t receive a call/message. When I called to ask about this topic was told ‘first on the list’ again. Was told my car would be done on XXX day but kept getting pushed back at least 5 times. I shared my problems and had videos of my problems happening but was told they tried to replicate the issue and deemed it as ‘okay’ and similar with other cars. I still have 4 months or 2.2k miles before my first service but it was done without my knowledge and permission. Had my windshield changed because of distortion but there is still distortion. Had my windows ‘checked’ but there are still issues with the controls (alrhough slightly better than before). I had issues with my camera, key fob login, and notifications getting sent to my phone but they weren’t addressed. My car was kept outside (I went to check once during the span of 19 days) and was kept unlocked the whole time except for the last two days with my window slightly open for half the time there. I will need to get service again because the problems I have still persist.

    To be honest, I would consider my experience with AutoNation one of the best. Val was very communicative and provided me with a better understanding of the issues of my car was experiencing. Despite my car being in possession for the amount of time, I was not upset or worried because Val was attentive and very nice to assist me with a loaner. This experience alone surpassed my horrible experiences I have had at other dealer/locations and this is the standard I have now for future services. I will highly recommend this location to others because of the service I received, Val’s professionalism and kindness, and the staffs welcoming attitude.

    Excellent service from start to finish. I was kept apprised of the status and an Uber was arranged to take me home agfter the drop off and picked me up when it was ready.
